Two Bathrooms, a Pergola + Garden
Worcester | Renovations, additions & alterations | Proposal/Unbuilt | 2019
Dating back to the early 1900s, this Victorian era house is gradually being renovated. A contemporary approach to convert the existing bathroom into two compact bathrooms creates an en-suite bedroom and a shared bathroom for the other two rooms in the house. A modern and refined palette of screed floors, frameless glass showers and minimal timber shelving and vanity counters is adopted to make the bathrooms feel as spacious as possible.
The back stoep is revived with a timber pergola with timber droppers and vines, and built-in wall bench, while some landscaping and sculpting to the existing ground will connect the stoep with the new swimming pool. Out front, a waterwise garden with a shade trees hugs the pathway on the right, while the new paved area to the left and bigger vehicular gate allows for more off-street parking.
